Dr. Sorensen obtained Bachelors’ degrees from both Weber State University and Utah State University, and a Doctorate in Audiology from Utah State University. Dr. Sorensen completed his residency year at the Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Offices in Loma Linda, California where he worked with patients across the age spectrum. His workload included the evaluation of child and adult patients with craniofacial anomalies and severe multiple disabilities. Dr. Sorensen was also responsible for ototoxic monitoring of pediatric cancer patients at the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Sorensen’s areas of interest include the evaluation and rehabilitation of the dizzy patient, hearing loss evaluation, and fitting of hearing aids. He has worked in private practice, hospital, and ENT settings. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology, a Member of the American Speech-language Hearing Association, and a Member of the Utah Speech-language Hearing Association. Dr. Sorensen enjoys international humanitarian work and has traveled to countries including Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Peru on hearing healthcare missions. He most recently traveled to India as part of a goodwill contingent from the American Academy of Audiology to assess the state of audiology in India and to seek partnering and collaboration opportunities between the Academy and hearing healthcare professionals in India.
